Paris Jessie is a passing poet/writer and all-around creative, born and raised in California. She is an only child, raised by a single mother. While education took her in many directions, she earned her BA in Cinema from San Francisco State University. Later, she became a nationally certified emergency medical technician, working on ambulance and in production.
She finds it hard to do without understanding the power of vulnerability, authenticity, and braving mental health. She hopes through her creative expression to evoke connection, hope or light for others, if anything at all. Paris is also Founding Editor of Ripe Literary Journal, a journal committed to echoing daring voices of those underrepresented and the mental health + healing of artists // twitter & instagram @ripelitjournal.
Whether through words, dance or amatuer videography, creativity is her compass. You will find nature and spirituality throughout much of her work, too. Hence, her spirit animal: the wolf. She is a lover, survivor, breakfast junkie, wanderer; and this is all good.
